Which constitute France, The United States of America, The United Kingdom, China, and Russia, and 10 elected members from around the world. It is often cited as the most important committee due to its aim to maintain international peace and security, while also having the authority to issue binding resolutions as per the UN Charter, which often make the council’s decisions more definitive than other UN committees.
