unrepresented nations and peoples organization

committee description

The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) is a body that exists and operates outside of the United Nations (UN) Apparatus. Its membership constitutes unrecognized countries, occupied territories, and parastates that lack UN recognition. As such, its main goal is to give a platform for member nations to voice their concerns and act with unity within an international system that marginalizes them. The focus of this committee is to foster empowerment through cooperation and collaboration, highlight common problems between and within member nations, and give strength to vulnerable nations.
